New Site Features

Let me thank everyone from the GHS class of ’74 who has visited the site over the past few days. I hope you like it, and I look forward to your comments.

I’ve been working on a few new features for our website. Primarily I’ve been focusing on a list of the members of the class of ’74. I wanted a place to display information about us, but I didn’t want it to be accessible to the general public. I’ve made the class list only visible to logged in members, and I’ve made the registration process a little bit more robust. If you want to see the class list, and the information it contains, you must register. Not only that, but I have to approve any registration requests.

Under the class list item in the menu bar at the top of the page you will see two sub-menu items – Add a Classmate, and Add Memorial Information. Those pages are also restricted to logged in members.

If you have any other suggestions for the site, please leave a comment on this post.

I hope you will register and tell other members of the class of ’74 about this site.

Update GHS 74 Site

I am updating the GHS class of 74 website, and I encourage all of my classmates to visit and take a look. Not only take a look, but leave your comments. We are just a year away from our fortieth anniversary. Forty Years! I don’t know about you, but that dumbfounds me.

I hope to hear from you soon. Please keep checking back as new things are added to the site.

I have added two forms to make it easy for you to let me know about members of the class of ’74:

  • Add a Classmate is for sending information about you, or another classmate. NO information (other than name) will be added to the site without that individual’s permission.
  • Memorial Information is about our classmates who are no longer with us.

You know you CAN comment

I don’t know if you know this or not, but you can leave comments on the various posts here. Just click on the title of the post, or where it says “No Comments” or “# Comments” just below the title to the right of the date.

You can also share a particular post with your friends on Facebook by clicking on the “Share on Facebook” link at the bottom of the post.

I would also like to open this up and have some others write articles here. If you want to post things directly just register using the link in the right sidebar (down at the bottom of that column) and drop me an email: lakelandjim at gmail dot com so I can change you from a subscriber to a contributor.

From The Reunion

I didn’t really have time to promote it here, but we held a 35 year reunion last night. I wasn’t there (the commute was a little too much), but Terri Mariotti was, and she took pictures!

Class List

I’ve started adding the list of class mates to a database. So far I’ve entered Susan Adams through Terry (Two Dots) Cullen. Much more work to do, but you can see what I’ve done so far here.

UPDATE: I’ve made it up to Kathy Sherry now. We’re getting there.

GHS ’74 Website and Blog

The website and blog for the GHS (Glassboro High School, NJ) class of ’74 website and blog are up and running. A little bit. There’s still quite a bit of work to do. Here’s what is working so far:

  • The Main Site. There may not be much there, but it’s working.
  • This blog. But you could probably tell that yourself.

In the works:

  • Most of the info on the main site, starting with a classmate list.
  • A Forum.

If you would like to contribute to the blog register (the link is at the bottom of the sidebar on the right) and then drop me an email so I can upgrade your rights. My email is lakelandjim at gmail dot com.
